Bridges to Learning is working with Gateshead Council’s learningSkills service to bring English and Maths qualifications online to you. These qualifications are required by some employers for promoted posts and also by professional bodies for training for some roles such as nursing, social work and teaching. Learners will need access to the internet, and a computer, laptop or tablet.

English
This course will help to improve both your knowledge and confidence in English.
What is the Course Content?
Spelling, punctuation, grammar, writing for different purpose, types of text, reading, speaking and listening.
Successful completion of this course will result in Edexcel Qualifications. Entry 1 to Level 2.
Maths
This course will help to improve both your knowledge and confidence in maths.
What is the Programme Content?
Ratio, formula, fractions, decimals and percentages, measure and scale, graphs and charts, problem solving.
Successful completion of either or both of these courses will result in Edexcel Qualifications. Entry 1 to Level 2.
Who can take these courses?
Anyone who is 19+ and looking to improve their English or Maths skills or achieve a qualification.
Please note that these courses are available to residents of the North East with the exception of Tees Valley postcodes (Middlesbrough, Darlington, Stockton on Tees, Hartlepool, Redcar and Cleveland.) We are working to find a provider of English and Maths online in this geographical area.
